Dame à l'orgue tapestry from the Lady with the unicorn series exposed at the Cluny Museum.
The Unicorn tapestries were given to Claude de Viste by Jean de Chabanne as an engagement present. The lion and the unicorn holding the coats of arms are an emblem of strength on one hand, purity on the other. These two animals symbolize the engagement of the bride & groom. The organ, a musical instrument, represents one of the five senes: Hearing.
This tapestry is woven in France in our workshops located in Halluin in Flanders.
