Scènes Galantes tapestry, inspired by an early 15th-century hanging at the Musée de Cluny.
Early 15th century tapestry. Cluny Museum-Paris. Against a background of leaves and flowers, a lady offered a casked from the hands of her page, while a couple is advancing towards them. All the characters are dressed in the Italian fashion which was introduced in France after Charles VIII conquered Naples in 1495.
This tapestry is woven in France in our workshop located in northern France.
