Tapestry The arrival at the port, scene inspired by an original woven in 1750.
Inspired by an original design of David Teniers II (1610-1690) made in Brussels in 1651 in the Jérôme Le Clerc's and Jacques Van der Borcht's workshops. This tapestry is a popular subject for the weavers, fishing and trading being the main activity of the northern ports, this scene captures the strength and vigour of these marine themes.
This tapestry is woven and lined in the Jules Pansu's workshops located in northern France in Flanders.
