Tapestry The Taste. One of the tpestries of the famous series of the Lady with the Unicorn.
In this tapestry from the "Ladies with Unicorns" series, the Lady, a parakeet on her fist, her little dog on her train, is drawing from the sucker presented to her by her companion. One of the five senses is evoked here by the monkey who carries something in his mouth: Taste. A palisade adorned with roses stands at the bottom of the mound.
This model represents one of the six panels exhibited at the Cluny Museum in Paris.
