Tapestry the Salamander, emblem of François I that we find on many monuments of the French heritage.
The salamander, chosen by François 1er as emblem, was engraved in many castles, in particular in the castle of Chambord, Fontainebleau or Azay le Rideau. The red chenille background gives a velvet effect and brings relief and character to this tapestry.
Our tapestry is woven and made in France in our own workshop Les Tissages de la Lys located in Halluin in the north of France. These are labeled Living Heritage Company.
