Famous seal of the Order of the Temple. A religious and military order of medieval Christian chivalry, whose members were known as the Templars. The red background in chenille yarns gives a velvet effect to the design.
This tapestry is woven and made in France in our workshops Les Tissages de la Lys located in Halluin in Flanders. The workshops have been awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label, a state recognition of excellent craft and industrial know-how.
